What truthful, role-specific resume polish looks like
This public example uses invented names and wording only to explain the method. Good resume polish makes real work easier to understand; it does not manufacture a stronger life story, a score, or a hiring promise.

- Current resume wording
- “Maintained product dashboards for the growth team.”
- What still needs to be clearer
- The wording names dashboard work, but it does not show whether the candidate performed cohort analysis, what question they investigated, or what evidence supports that claim. Clearer language can help only if that work really happened.
- Truthful polish
- Only if true: “Used cohort analysis to investigate activation changes, then shared the findings with the growth team through the product dashboard.” If the analysis did not happen, keep it as a genuine gap rather than adding the phrase.
- Final self-check
- Can the candidate point to the actual analysis, scope, and result in an interview? If not, the patch must not be used.
